Quantum County Middle School opened in 2020 in the campus of the previous rural Quantum County High School, after its subsequent move to a new, more centralized campus with room for a larger student population. The facility underwent a $20 million dollar renovation before opening its doors for the 2020-2021 school year, including upgraded arts suites and STEM labs, replacement of degrading materials, security enhancements, and other modernizations. Quantum County Middle School, following its renovation, has a total capacity of 1400 students, grades 6-8.
